After vigorous testing and rapid progress, the Amundi have created prototypes of each portion of the ship and have begun doing testing on each portion, specifically the power source which they have discovered is a nuclear fusion reactor.

The Amundi have constructed their first prototype ship, which they have called Prokeft Aerlis. They have set up a very large landing take off zone for the ship and fitted all the components into it. They have enlisted a crew and are preparing for their first test.

The Amundi move the prototype to a testing facility, where they anchor it to the ground. They put the crew in the ship, and begin to test how it actually works. Sensors and electronics, making final tweaks and fixes before devoting themselves to the test flight.

The Amundi have begun testing nuclear fusion reactors on their planet, and have also begun collecting He-3. Which they have discovered is very rare, but they have begun heavy testing on the subject as a future potential for energy.

After thorough testing of the ship, they discover that they won't be able to simply take off with the ship. That's not how the ship was designed. The Amundi begin trying to devise ways to launch the ship out of the atmosphere safely. Unfortunately, railguns aren't an option as a railgun of massive proportions would be required to launch this ship. And helicopters won't work, because they can't operate out of the atmosphere.

One scientist steps forward with an odd idea, a machine that flies through the air through the raw power of explosions, heat, and fire. He calls it a "rocket", saying he based the name and design on that of one he found aboard the crashed ship.

The Amundi quickly begin developing and testing these rockets.

The Amundi finish rocket designs, and prepare to launch the ship into space with the rockets. They also begin equipping probes with smaller rockets, so they can be piloted through space.

After the Amundi ship is prepared to launch, Derkarsh gives it a name, rather than calling it Prokeft Aerlis. He names the ship Hughis Aerlis. Then, the Amundi launch the ship into space in a dramatic show of the power of the rockets.

After the ship is in space, the rockets detach from the ship and the ship begins testing all it's systems, and most importantly, communications. The ship begins to orbit their planet as they communicate with the ground teams.

Amundi Historians mark is as the most important event in Amundi history.

The Amundi realize how expensive using rockets to launch all their ships will be in the future, and make the long-term investment of resources to construct a space station, using the Hughis Aerlis as a platform to begin construction.

Their plan is to launch canisters of necessary resources and supplies towards the ship with their railguns, but they have to give the railguns the capability to aim, so they begin working on that.

Meanwhile, scientists work on space suits and engineers and architects work on designs for the space station, as well as other space vehicles.
